Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients using evidence-based practices
- Monitor and interpret patient vitals, ECG readings, and diagnostic results
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while documenting in EMR systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on complex medical conditions and discharge protocols
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards in high-acuity settings
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency interventions
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- BSN degree with 2+ years ICU experience preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and critical care monitoring systems
- Strong assessment skills for hemodynamic and ventilator management
- Excellent communication abilities for high-stress situations
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
