As a Level I Trauma Center, we handle complex cases including post-operative recovery, cardiac emergencies, and multi-system organ failure. Our nurses work with advanced monitoring systems and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver critical care to ventilated patients, post-op cardiac cases, and sepsis management
- Administer precise medication dosages and titrate vasopressors per protocol
- Operate advanced monitoring systems (PICC lines, arterial lines, ECG)
- Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and case managers
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation in Epic Systems
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blues
- Mentor new nurses and implement evidence-based practice initiatives
Qualifications
- Active IL RN license and BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- 3+ years ICU experience with ACLS/BLS certifications
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking skills in high-pressure environments
- Experience with Epic EMR and telemedicine platforms
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
