Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in 16-bed ICU
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor and interpret patient telemetry, ventilator, and hemodynamic data
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans including physicians, therapists, and case managers
- Implement emergency response protocols for cardiac arrests and rapid deteriorations
- Educate patients and families on complex conditions and discharge planning
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and CMS regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- 2+ years ICU experience with ACLS/BLS certifications
- CRRT and ventilator management proficiency
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication with diverse patient populations
- EMR experience (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
