Responsibilities
- Provide critical care for post-cardiac surgery patients
- Administer specialized medications and monitor hemodynamic parameters
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for complex patient cases
- Implement evidence-based nursing interventions for acute conditions
- Document patient assessments and care plans using Epic EMR
- Mentor new staff through our structured orientation program
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Current Illinois RN license
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities for family education
