Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize patients with acute medical conditions using evidence-based protocols
- Administer medications and treatments with precision in high-pressure situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and prevention strategies
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blue procedures
- Maintain inventory and equipment readiness for emergency scenarios
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ED or critical care nursing experience
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC experience a plus)
- Excellent triage and critical decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Ability to maintain composure during high-stress emergencies
