Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced emergency care across trauma, cardiac, and pediatric cases
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams during critical incidents and codes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 99% documentation accuracy
- Precept new nurses and participate in simulation training initiatives
- Lead quality improvement projects targeting patient safety metrics
- Collaborate with social work on discharge planning for complex cases
- Participate in hospital-wide emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- BSN degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Current Illinois RN license with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 3 years ED experience with ACLS/PALS certifications
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and telehealth systems
- Demonstrated crisis communication skills during high-stress scenarios
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
- BSN or MSN candidates with ED experience encouraged
