Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions for diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Lead emergency response protocols including trauma activations and cardiac resuscitations
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and care coordination
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN candidates with 3+ years ED experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- Strong critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication abilities across diverse populations
