Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in acute care settings with critical thinking skills
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments per physician protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (MSN preferred)
- Active RN license in Illinois with 2+ years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and emergency intervention skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
