Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based interventions for emergency patients across all age groups
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision and care
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to develop comprehensive care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Participate in trauma activations and code blue emergencies
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current New York State RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or critical care experience
- Strong assessment skills and ability to prioritize complex cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
