Responsibilities
- Assess & Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring to ensure optimal health outcomes and safety.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Crisis Management: Respond effectively to critical situations, including code blue events, and provide immediate interventions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting all care provided and patient changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care or acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and proficiency with medical technology and EHR systems.
