Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill patients in a 24-bed ICU setting
- Administer complex medications and monitor life-support systems (ventilators, dialysis)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and intervene in emergency situations
- Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR system
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid NY RN license (or compact license with NY endorsement)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- 2+ years critical care experience in Level I trauma center
- ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications required
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR documentation
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
