Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including changes in patient condition, accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate life-saving interventions.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care or progressive care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as necessary.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
