Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in ICU/CCU settings
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs using advanced monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-hospital care
- Participate in rapid response team activations and emergency situations
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois (IL RN)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- 2+ years of critical care nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
