Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac patients including post-op recovery, monitoring, and education
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Respond effectively to cardiac emergencies with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor new nurses and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience (cardiology preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring devices and ECG interpretation
