Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care for cardiac patients including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, cardiac catheterization results, and hemodynamic parameters
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR system while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois with BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care cardiology experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; CCRN strongly preferred
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency response protocols
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practice
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
