Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Administer medications, perform diagnostic procedures, and monitor vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management and prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and adhere to regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cardiac emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care cardiology setting
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring equipment and ECG interpretation
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
