Responsibilities
- Provide advanced cardiac monitoring and critical care for post-operative cardiac patients
- Administer specialized medications and perform complex cardiac procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health and recovery protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac devices
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
