Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for post-operative cardiac patients including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing ECG assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment to detect and respond to arrhythmias and other emergencies
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Washington State or compact state
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care cardiac nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system and cardiac monitoring technology
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated patient advocacy
