Our 24-bed Cardiac ICU specializes in advanced cardiac interventions, post-operative recovery, and complex arrhythmia management. You'll work alongside world-class cardiologists, surgeons, and specialists while providing critical care to New York's most vulnerable patients. Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced cardiac nursing care including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and invasive line maintenance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer cardiac medications and emergency interventions with precision
- Provide patient/family education on cardiac conditions and recovery protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond rapidly to cardiac emergencies and rapid response activations
Qualifications
- Current NYS RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years critical care experience with cardiac specialization
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Strong critical thinking skills for high-acuity decision making
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR and cardiac monitoring systems
