Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for post-cardiac surgery patients and critical cardiac conditions
- Administer advanced cardiac medications and manage complex monitoring systems
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and perfusionists during emergency interventions
- Maintain precise documentation in Epic EMR system for regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior nurses and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives
- Respond rapidly to code blue events with ACLS-certified protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts with 3+ years ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- BSN degree or higher (MSN preferred)
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking skills during high-acuity situations
- Experience with cardiac cath lab recovery or ECMO support preferred
