Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage post-cardiac surgery patients with advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Administer specialized cardiac medications and interventions (e.g., vasopressors, antiarrhythmics)
- Perform rapid assessment of acute cardiac events and initiate emergency protocols
- Collaborate with cardiologists for treatment planning and procedure support
- Provide family education on cardiac conditions and home care management
- Maintain precise documentation in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Minnesota or compact state
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU/Telemetry experience
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement
