Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess cardiac patients using advanced telemetry and critical care equipment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Implement emergency response protocols for cardiac events
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and recovery plans
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and care team members
- Maintain sterile techniques during invasive procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois
- BSN degree (ADN with 2+ years ICU experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ICU/CCU experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring systems
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
