Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced cardiac monitoring and intervention for post-op cardiac patients
- Administer specialized medications and manage complex hemodynamic parameters
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists and perfusionists
- Maintain precise documentation in Epic EMR system
- Implement evidence-based protocols for rapid response situations
- Provide family education during critical care phases
- Mentor new nurses through our structured preceptorship program
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- 3+ years ICU/CCU experience with cardiac focus
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive drips
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
- Experience with cardiac catheterization lab recovery preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
