Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiovascular ICU setting
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic data to detect critical changes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and medication management
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Illinois (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years ICU experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certification (must be current)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
