Responsibilities
- Monitor and stabilize critically ill pediatric patients using advanced life support techniques
- Administer medications and treatments with precise dosing calculations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
- Provide emotional support to families during critical situations
- Document patient progress with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile procedures and infection control protocols
- Participate in rapid response team activations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- BSN degree with pediatric ICU certification (CCRN-P)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience
- PALS and NRP certifications required
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- TB clearance and annual health screenings
