Your Role
As the Merchandising Manager, you will be the architect of our visual and product success. You will collaborate closely with buyers, creative teams, and store managers to deliver collections that resonate with our diverse clientele and exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal merchandising plans that align with company goals and market trends.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality control of merchandise.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, analyze sales velocity, and implement markdown strategies to optimize turnover and reduce excess inventory.
- Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the creative team to design in-store displays and window presentations that drive foot traffic and enhance brand identity.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data and market reports to identify opportunities for growth and adjust assortments accordingly.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior merchandisers and provide guidance on best practices in retail operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or fashion management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in POS systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to retail locations and attend industry trade shows.
