Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology with high accuracy and precision.
- Ensure strict adherence to all laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards to minimize errors and ensure patient safety.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex laboratory instrumentation and automated analyzers.
- Analyze specimens, document results, and communicate critical findings to the healthcare team promptly.
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs and proficiency testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and laboratory documentation in the LIS (Laboratory Information System).
- Assist in the training and orientation of new laboratory staff members.
Qualifications
- ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) certification or equivalent state licensure as a Medical Technologist.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related Life Science field.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or reference laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, test methodologies, and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork.
