Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical components and systems using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct in-depth stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product integrity and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing and CNC machining, and iterate designs based on testing results.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (ISO, ASME, ANSI).
- Lead root cause analysis for product failures and implement effective corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Masterās degree preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience with FEA simulation tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including injection molding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
