Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex mechanical components and systems using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Conduct in-depth stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product integrity and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing and CNC machining, and iterate designs based on testing results.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design specifications.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (ISO, ASME, ANSI).
  • Lead root cause analysis for product failures and implement effective corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
  • Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Experience with FEA simulation tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including injection molding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
