Responsibilities
- Drive Research Strategy: Own the research vision for core AI modules, defining hypotheses and execution plans for long-term projects.
- Algorithm Development: Design, implement, and optimize novel deep learning models and algorithms using Python and C++.
- Experimental Design: Conduct rigorous A/B testing, statistical analysis, and benchmarking to validate model performance and efficiency.
- Publication & Thought Leadership: Author high-impact research papers for top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR) and contribute to open-source communities.
- Talent Development: Mentor junior researchers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to bridge the gap between theoretical research and production deployment.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in AI/ML research, preferably within a tech giant or top-tier research lab.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and experience with distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Ray).
- Domain Knowledge: Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Computer Vision.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of solving ambiguous, high-impact technical problems.
