Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and development of next-generation material platforms.
- Design and execute rigorous experimental protocols to validate product performance and safety.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to scale lab-grown prototypes to production.
- Manage intellectual property portfolios, including patent filings and white papers.
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of continuous scientific inquiry.
- Analyze complex data sets to drive evidence-based decision-making.
- Stay at the cutting edge of industry trends and academic research in material science.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an R&D environment, preferably within the tech or manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of taking products from R&D phases to commercialization.
- Expertise in analytical techniques such as SEM, TEM, and spectroscopy.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performance technical teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental alignment.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, R, or Python).
