Responsibilities
- Architect and execute multi-phase research projects aimed at product innovation.
- Lead cross-functional teams of scientists and engineers through the full product development lifecycle.
- Translate complex data analytics into actionable insights for prototype refinement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align R&D initiatives with long-term business objectives.
- Document research methodologies and file patents for proprietary intellectual property.
- Mentor junior research staff to foster a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and scientific forums.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate R&D or advanced technology labs.
- Proven track record of taking research concepts through to successful commercialization.
- Expertise in advanced data modeling, simulation software, and prototyping tools.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage technical teams and project budgets.
- Exceptional analytical thinking with an appetite for tackling high-ambiguity challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical reporting.
