Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing care to adult oncology patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and symptom management.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary clinical team of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and support staff.
- Collaborate closely with attending oncologists to implement, monitor, and adjust complex chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens.
- Direct patient and family education programs, offering compassionate guidance on treatment expectations and palliative care options.
- Oversee clinical quality assurance initiatives and ensure strict compliance with oncology nursing standards and healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with clinical trial coordinators to screen, enroll, and monitor patients participating in active oncology research protocols.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Board certification in Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care or outpatient oncology setting.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative clinical decision-making skills.
