Responsibilities
- Perform complex adult cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic procedures.
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings to determine optimal patient care pathways.
- Mentor surgical fellows and residents on advanced operative techniques.
- Participate in clinical research trials and contribute to medical journal publications.
- Maintain impeccable documentation and adherence to JCAHO quality and safety standards.
- Develop innovative surgical protocols to reduce recovery times and improve outcomes.
- Represent the Institute at international cardiovascular medical conferences.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume surgical center.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgery techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathetic patient communication.
- Published research in peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals is highly preferred.
