As our Lead Cardiac Surgeon, you will spearhead our surgical department, mentoring the next generation of surgeons while maintaining a high-volume, high-acuity caseload. You will work in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest robotic-assisted surgical technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular procedures, including CABG, valve repair, and aortic reconstruction.
- Provide strategic leadership for the surgical team, ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists.
- Lead clinical research initiatives and contribute to medical literature in cardiovascular surgery.
- Mentor surgical residents and fellows in a high-acuity academic environment.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to hospital safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in departmental grand rounds and continuing medical education programs.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in high-acuity cardiovascular surgery.
- Proven track record of surgical innovation and published peer-reviewed research.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large clinical teams.
