Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic procedures.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary surgical teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement evidence-based surgical protocols to improve clinical safety.
- Provide mentorship and clinical oversight for surgical residents and fellows.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and anesthesiologists to manage perioperative patient care.
- Participate in departmental strategy meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in clinical research and represent the institute at national medical conferences.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification in Thoracic or Cardiac Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum 8 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume surgical center.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgery techniques.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing clinical teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
