Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries with a focus on coronary artery bypass and valve repair.
- Lead and mentor a team of associate surgeons, residents, and nursing staff in the OR.
- Develop and implement new clinical protocols to enhance surgical efficiency and patient recovery.
- Coordinate with cardiology and critical care departments to provide holistic, patient-centered treatment plans.
- Participate in peer review processes and departmental morbidity and mortality conferences.
- Drive clinical research initiatives to remain at the cutting edge of cardiovascular medicine.
- Maintain impeccable documentation and compliance with all institutional and federal healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical License eligible for practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume surgical center.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive cardiac procedures.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing high-performing medical teams.
- Proven ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Commitment to academic excellence and active involvement in medical research.
