Responsibilities
- Perform complex adult cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary team rounds to optimize perioperative patient outcomes.
- Drive the integration of robotic-assisted surgical technologies into the cardiac theater.
- Collaborate with the research department on innovative clinical trials and publications.
- Mentor surgical residents and fellows in advanced operative techniques.
- Oversee departmental quality control and adherence to AATS and STS standards.
- Participate in executive leadership meetings to shape the future of cardiac service lines.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-residency surgical experience.
- Advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive or robotic cardiac procedures.
- Valid Massachusetts medical license in good standing.
- Proven track record of high surgical volume and excellent patient outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaborative leadership.
- Commitment to scholarly activity and continuous medical education.
