Responsibilities
- Lead high-complexity cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including valve repairs and coronary artery bypass grafting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary heart team members to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Oversee departmental surgical outcomes and implement protocols to improve patient safety.
- Mentor surgical residents and fellows in advanced operative techniques.
- Contribute to clinical research initiatives and publishing in high-impact medical journals.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergent cardiothoracic interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality control standards.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume clinical setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in minimally invasive cardiac surgery techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing medical teams.
