As our Lead Surgeon, you will spearhead complex procedures while mentoring a talented team of surgical residents and nurses in a state-of-the-art operative environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-complexity cardiovascular procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgery.
- Provide clinical leadership for the surgical team and ensure compliance with highest safety standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery protocols.
- Drive academic research and contribute to the publication of innovative cardiac surgical techniques.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency cardiac surgical interventions.
- Mentor junior surgeons and oversee the development of the cardiac fellowship program.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic health records and ensure transparent patient communication.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in high-volume cardiac surgery.
- Proven track record of successful complex cardiovascular interventions.
- Active Massachusetts medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
