Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures with clinical precision.
- Provide expert leadership to the surgical team during high-stakes interventions.
- Develop and implement standardized patient care protocols to improve surgical outcomes.
- Conduct preoperative consultations and detailed post-operative follow-up care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
- Mentor junior surgeons and fellows in advanced surgical techniques and ethics.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and departmental medical audits.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid Massachusetts Medical License or eligibility for expedited licensure.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume surgical environment.
- Proven track record of successful outcomes in complex valve repair and bypass surgeries.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach to medicine.
- Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgical platforms (Da Vinci systems).
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing departmental operations.
