Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary surgical team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Mentor surgical residents and fellows in advanced operative techniques.
- Develop and implement institutional protocols to enhance patient outcomes and surgical safety.
- Participate in clinical research programs and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesiology, and perfusion teams to ensure seamless perioperative care.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid Massachusetts Medical License or eligibility for immediate licensure.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume academic or tertiary care setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted cardiac surgery.
- Strong publication record and track record of clinical innovation.
- Exceptional communication skills and leadership capability in a fast-paced environment.
