Responsibilities
- Perform a high volume of complex adult cardiac surgeries, including CABG and valve replacements.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, perfusionists, and nursing staff.
- Oversee patient pre-operative planning and post-operative critical care management.
- Participate in clinical research trials and drive innovations in surgical techniques.
- Collaborate with the Cardiology Department to optimize patient outcomes and treatment pathways.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality control, and surgical documentation.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Minimum 8 years of post-residency experience in a high-acuity medical center.
- Proven expertise in robotic-assisted cardiac surgical procedures.
- Valid medical license to practice in the State of Massachusetts.
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing surgical department operations.
- Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centric care.
- Published research in peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals is highly preferred.
