Responsibilities
- Perform high-acuity cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgery.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, perfusionists, and nursing staff.
- Oversee clinical protocols to ensure adherence to evidence-based best practices.
- Collaborate with the research department on innovative cardiac trials and publications.
- Manage patient care transitions from pre-operative assessment to post-operative rehabilitation.
- Represent the Institute at international medical conferences and industry panels.
- Optimize surgical suite efficiency through improved workflows and team coordination.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of clinical experience in adult cardiac surgery.
- Proven track record of high surgical volume and excellent patient outcome metrics.
- Extensive experience with minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical systems.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing large clinical departments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead multi-functional medical teams.
