Responsibilities
- Lead high-complexity open-heart and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
- Supervise a team of cardiothoracic surgeons, PAs, and surgical nursing staff.
- Direct the development of clinical protocols to ensure highest patient safety standards.
- Mentor surgical residents and fellows within our teaching affiliation.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology on hybrid procedure cases.
- Manage departmental performance metrics and continuous quality improvement projects.
- Present clinical findings at national cardiovascular research symposia.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid Massachusetts Medical License or eligibility for immediate reciprocity.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-residency clinical experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in robotic-assisted cardiothoracic surgical platforms.
- Proven record of departmental leadership and surgical team management.
