We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Cardiac Sonographer to oversee our high-volume imaging suite. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on adult patients.
- Supervise a team of sonographers, ensuring compliance with ASE guidelines and departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to provide preliminary interpretations and critical findings reports.
- Maintain and optimize sophisticated ultrasound equipment for peak imaging performance.
- Mentor junior staff members and clinical students in advanced imaging techniques.
- Ensure a sterile, safe, and welcoming environment for all patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
- Manage departmental scheduling and quality assurance audits to maintain JCAHO accreditation standards.
Qualifications
- Active certification by the ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or advanced cardiology setting.
- Proven leadership experience or readiness to manage a clinical team.
- Expertise in 3D/4D imaging and strain imaging modalities.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail and patient empathy.
