Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on adult patients.
- Analyze and interpret complex hemodynamic data for physician review.
- Mentor junior sonographers and clinical staff to ensure departmental quality standards.
- Maintain and calibrate advanced imaging equipment for optimal diagnostic accuracy.
- Document patient findings meticulously within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Coordinate with the cardiac surgical team for pre-operative and intra-operative diagnostic support.
- Adhere strictly to ICAEL accreditation standards and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Current RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) credential from ARDMS.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care cardiology setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in 3D/4D imaging and strain imaging techniques.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for patient advocacy and team collaboration.
