Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms with exceptional precision.
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior sonographers to ensure department-wide adherence to IAC standards.
  • Coordinate closely with cardiologists to interpret findings and provide critical diagnostic feedback during acute procedures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot high-end imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and patient safety.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance programs and regular case review sessions.
  • Develop and implement updated imaging protocols to integrate new cardiovascular technologies into clinical practice.
  • Oversee daily department workflow, including scheduling, patient triage, and emergency response.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification through ARDMS is mandatory.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a high-volume hospital or tertiary care setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced echocardiography, including strain imaging and 3D acquisition.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of team management or clinical supervision.
