Responsibilities
- Perform complex adult and pediatric echocardiograms with precision.
- Analyze and document findings to assist cardiologists in clinical decision-making.
- Mentor and supervise a team of diagnostic sonographers to ensure operational standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot sophisticated diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to streamline patient care workflows.
- Ensure compliance with ICAEL accreditation standards and department safety protocols.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
Qualifications
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or specialized cardiology center.
- Strong proficiency in stress and transesophageal echocardiography.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience or ability to mentor junior clinical staff.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
