Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced critical care nursing interventions for post-surgical, trauma, and medically complex patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring data including arterial lines and PA catheters
- Administer and titrate vasoactive medications with precision
- Lead rapid response team activations and code blue emergencies
- Maintain accurate electronic health documentation using Epic EMR
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current IL RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in Level 1 trauma center
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Proficiency in ventilator management and CRRT protocols
- Demonstrated expertise in hemodynamic monitoring interpretation
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
