As a key member of our EHS team, you'll shape policies that protect our workforce, minimize environmental impact, and ensure operational excellence. This hybrid role combines field inspections with strategic program development, offering a platform to make tangible environmental contributions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct facility safety audits, risk assessments, and environmental compliance inspections
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage hazardous waste streams and ensure proper disposal documentation
- Prepare regulatory reports and maintain EHS documentation systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety into new processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using EHS KPIs and metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
- OSHA 30-hour certification and/or CHMM/CSP credentials
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations and air/waste permitting processes
- Proficiency with EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex) and MS Office Suite
- Strong experience developing safety protocols and emergency response plans
- Excellent communication skills for training diverse workforces
- Valid driver's license with willingness for 20% travel
